Substance Use in the Workplace
DESCRIPTION:
Substance abuse and alcoholism among U.S. workers can create costly medical, social and other problems that affect both employees and the employer’s bottom line. Substance abuse among employees can threaten public safety, impair job performance and threaten their own safety.
In this workshop we will discuss the impact of drugs in the workplace. We’ll also consider ways to recognize an employee that may be under the influence and what you can do to both protect your company from unnecessary risk, and help that employee get treatment.
