    HRMA Dinner Meeting

Direct Contracting Between Employers & Healthcare Providers

Presented by Bill Lacy from ACHRM

    February 10, 2014

    Princeton Hyatt Regency

    5:30pm to 8:00pm

**The meeting is approved for 1 strategic recertification credit hour

    by the HR Certification Institute**

Learn how and why, in this time of continually rising healthcare costs, CEO’s, CFO’s and HR Directors at enlightened employers, achieve cost containment by choosing what is fast becoming a preferred risk management strategy for smaller to medium-sized US companies, i.e., 100 to 30,000 employees.

As the new healthcare law is implemented and employer healthcare costs continue to rise, an emerging strategy in the NY-NJ-PA marketplace is to develop a direct relationship between self-insured organizations and healthcare providers.

While healthcare costs can be a leading employer expense, many organizations do not have a direct relationship with their healthcare provider.  The problems experienced by these organizations include lack of price transparency, insufficient accountability, no quality metrics, and of course, staggering costs.

Building upon paradigms which exist in other markets throughout the US, this presentation will highlight the experiences of ACHRM’s members that have entered into direct relationships with healthcare providers, and discuss processes, plan modifications, contracts/documentation, billing/invoicing, communications, employee engagement, cost savings, and other factors that have led to improved organizational results.

This presentation brings forward a ground-breaking methodology for reducing health care costs for organizations and speaks directly to HR and C-suite executives who are looking for new and proven ways to improve healthcare quality outcomes and offer win-win employee engagement strategies.
