    Our Non-Profit Organization

Our featured non-profit organization this month is closely affiliated to the topic of hiring military veterans, and also close to the heart of Sherrill, as she is the Executive Creative and Development Director.  The Tip of the Arrow Foundation is a volunteer organization staffed by highly experienced career counselors. Its’ target is U.S. veterans of the Global War on Terror. Its’ aim is to help them transition to civilian work life successfully.

At Tip of the Arrow Foundation we provide free personalized one-on-one career coaching services for our returning heroes from the Global War on Terror and Veterans in employment transition so they may successfully secure the next step in their career – employment, entrepreneurship or education. Through our on site programs at demobilization centers and ongoing career coaching services, Veterans are empowered to successfully and smoothly transition to the civilian world of work.

We know that it is not always the people with the best skills that get the job, but the people who market themselves the best to capture the attention of potential employers. Tip of the Arrow Foundation coaches returning soldiers and Veterans to identify the Thread of Excellence® that runs through their military service, and create the narrative that translates military experience into a powerful civilian employment message.

Tip of the Arrow Foundation’s commitment to returning GWOT Veterans is to prepare them to be the most competitive and informed job seekers providing them with all the job sourcing, preparation skills and resources necessary to win in today’s job market. More information at: http://tipofthearrow.net/
